About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform routine and specialized computerized tomography procedures
- Produce quality images for physicians and healthcare providers for diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, and prevention of injury or disease
- Work independently using sound judgment and clinical skills to execute safe and precise procedures
- Deliver accurate results in a timely manner
- Assess patients and monitor them attentively
- Gain patient, family/support group, and healthcare provider confidence and cooperation through effective communication
- Adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures
- Ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care
- Perform specific additional procedures as assigned
- Help orient other staff to the department
- Build collaborative relationships with peers and healthcare providers to achieve departmental and corporate objectives
Requirements
What you’ll need- Graduation from a JRCERT accredited Radiologic Technologist Program provided prior to start date
- CRT-Certified Radiologic Technologist from the state where work is being performed, provided prior to start date
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
- RHF-Radiology Fluoroscopy within 180 days of hire if required at the affiliate
- SGMF-CVENI-Certified Venipuncture
- General knowledge of diagnostic computerized tomography principles, procedures, views, and equipment
- Some experience responding to traumas and various hospital emergencies
- Capable of performing routine CT examinations
- Basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Time management and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized operating procedures and scientific methods
- General knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, RIS, LIS, EHR, EPIC, and PACS
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to accomplish multiple tasks in an environment with interruptions
- Ability to identify, evaluate, and resolve standard problems using established options
- Ability to ensure patient PHI privacy
- Ability to collaborate with peers and healthcare providers
