About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide nursing care under the direct supervision of a registered nurse or physician
- Follow the legal scope of practice and established standards of care, policies, and procedures
- Integrate education, technical competence, and patient interaction skills to gain patient and family cooperation
- Exercise sound judgment and clinical skills to implement patient care plans based on diagnoses
- Support department functionality by distributing supplies
- Perform equipment maintenance, testing, and setup as needed
- Adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures
- Protect patient privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care
Requirements
What you’ll need- Graduate of an accredited school of Vocational Nursing, provided prior to start date; may be evidenced by LVN/LPN license
- LVN-Licensed Vocational Nurse for California-based jobs
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
- 1-year recent relevant experience (preferred)
- Demonstrated knowledge of basic nursing skills, various medical procedures, views, and equipment
- Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule-form data and instructions
- Basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
- Written and verbal communication skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences
- Well-developed time management and organizational skills
- General knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines within standardized policies, procedures, and scientific methods
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in an interruption-prone environment
- Ability to identify, evaluate, and resolve standard problems using established solutions
- Ability to build collaborative relationships with peers and healthcare providers
