About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide nursing care under the direct supervision of a registered nurse or physician
- Implement patients’ plans of care based on diagnosis in a timely manner
- Integrate education, technical competence, and patient interaction skills to gain patient and family cooperation
- Support department functionality by distributing supplies
- Perform equipment maintenance, testing, and setup as needed
- Adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures
- Maintain patient privacy and safety
- Perform specific procedures as assigned
- Orient other staff to the department when required
- Travel between Auburn, Citrus Heights, Folsom, Roseville, Sacramento, and Yuba City locations as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- Graduate of an accredited school of Vocational Nursing
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
- LVNIVBWP-Vocational Nurse Intravenous Therapy Blood Withdrawal Provider
- 2 years recent relevant experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of basic nursing skills, various medical procedures, views, and equipment
- Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule data and instructions
- Basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
- Written and verbal communication skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences
- Well-developed time management and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized operating procedures and scientific methods
- General knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to identify, evaluate, and resolve standard problems using established solutions
- Ability to build collaborative relationships with peers and other healthcare providers
- Travel as needed between Auburn, Citrus Heights, Folsom, Roseville, Sacramento, and Yuba City locations
