About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform routine and specialized breast procedures to produce quality diagnostic images
  • Support diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, and prevention of injury or disease
  • Execute safe and precise procedures independently using sound judgment and clinical skills
  • Assess and monitor patients while providing effective communication and care
  • Follow local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures
  • Perform specific procedures and orient other staff as needed
  • Support multiple sites as a float pool technologist
  • Travel within and around the Greater Sacramento Area
  • Collaborate with peers and healthcare providers to achieve departmental and organizational objectives
  • Protect patient health information and resolve standard operational problems

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program provided prior to start date
  • CRT-Certified Radiologic Technologist provided prior to start date
  • RHM-Radiology Mammography provided prior to start date
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider upon hire
  • Level II: Less than 5 years of experience
  • Level III: 5+ years recent relevant experience
  • General knowledge of diagnostic mammography principles, procedures, views, and equipment
  • Ability to perform routine mammographic examinations
  • Understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Time management and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, RIS, LIS, EHR, EPIC, and PACS
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to identify, evaluate, and resolve standard problems
  • Ability to protect patient PHI
  • Ability to travel within and around the Greater Sacramento Area
