  • Provide clinical and clerical support to providers and patient care teams

  • Prioritize assignments and complete multiple tasks within standardized procedures
  • Identify, evaluate, and resolve standard problems
  • Collaborate with peers and healthcare providers to achieve departmental and corporate objectives
  • Manage, store, prepare, receive, unpack, transport, dispose of, or administer hazardous drugs as applicable

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
  • Graduate of a Medical Assistant program; must present diploma within 90 days
  • Completion of Medical Assistant externship (160 hours)
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification
  • 1 year of recent relevant experience
  • General knowledge of medical procedures, views, and equipment
  • Basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
  • Competency in basic Medical Assisting skills, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for examination, and administering injections
  • Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule-form data and instructions
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Time management and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and electronic health records (EHR)
  • Ability to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in an environment with interruptions
  • Ability to identify, evaluate, and resolve standard problems using established options
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships with peers and healthcare providers
  • Ability to work Monday–Friday, day shift, 40 hours per week
  • Ability to handle hazardous drugs in accordance with NIOSH and USP 800 guidelines
