About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide high-quality care through virtual visits
- Evaluate, diagnose, treat, educate and counsel patients in a virtual environment
- Determine when escalation or in-person evaluation is appropriate
- Provide structured inbox coverage for primary care clinicians
- Support continuity of care and timely patient communication
- Collaborate with physicians, APCs, care teams and operational partners
- Participate in workflow development, quality improvement and program growth
- Help build and shape a new virtual care model
- Provide approximately 70% virtual patient care and 30% primary care inbox support
Requirements
What you’ll need- Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience
- California licensure and eligibility to practice within Sutter Medical Group requirements
- Preferred experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care, Walk-In Care, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine or similar ambulatory settings
- Strong independent clinical judgment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfort practicing in a virtual care environment
- Strong organizational and inbox management skills
- Clinically confident, patient-centered, collaborative, adaptable, technologically proficient
