About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assess, plan, organize, and participate in rehabilitative programs
- Help patients build or restore vocational, homemaking, and daily living skills and general independence
- Gain confidence and cooperation from patients, families/support groups, and healthcare providers
- Conduct competent patient assessment, attentive monitoring, and care
- Communicate effectively with patients, families/support groups, and healthcare providers
- Adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures
- Provide clinical supervision of assistants and aides
- Serve as clinical instructor for assigned students
Requirements
What you’ll need- Graduate of accredited occupational therapy program
- OT-Occupational Therapist or OLP-Occupational Limited Permit
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
- 2 years of recent relevant experience
- Critical thinking, complex problem solving, decisive judgment, and ability to work independently
- Knowledge and application of professional practice and regulatory requirements
- Ability to work in a demanding environment and organize multiple priorities within expected timelines and requirements
- Computer and required technology proficiency/competencies
- Effective verbal and written professional communication and interpersonal skills
- Conflict resolution, teamwork/collaboration, customer service, and community relations abilities
- Ability to retain and apply new knowledge and skills
- Keeps abreast of professional practice development and advancement
- Ability to work rotating weekends and variable days
- Ability to work an 8-hour shift
- Must comply with applicable privacy, safety, and regulatory requirements
