About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Evaluate patients and develop and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans.
- Build or restore functional abilities, including activities of daily living, vocational skills, homemaking tasks, and overall independence.
- Provide compassionate, evidence-based occupational therapy care for patients with disabilities, injuries, illnesses, or developmental delays.
- Collaborate with patients, families, caregivers, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Perform skilled assessment and ongoing evaluation.
- Educate patients and families.
- Communicate effectively to foster trust, engagement, and positive patient outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, organizational policies, and professional standards.
- Provide clinical guidance and supervision to occupational therapy assistants and rehabilitation aides.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Graduate of accredited occupational therapy program.
- OT-Occupational Therapist certification/licensure.
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification.
- 2 years of recent relevant experience.
- Critical thinking, complex problem solving, decisive judgement, and ability to work independently.
- Knowledge and application of professional practice and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to work in a demanding work environment and organize multiple priorities within expected timelines and requirements.
- Computer and required technology proficiency/competencies.
- Effective professional verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Conflict resolution, teamwork/collaboration, customer service, and community relations abilities.
- Ability to retain and apply new knowledge and skills.
- Keeps abreast of professional practice development and advancement.
