About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assess, plan, organize, and participate in rehabilitative programs
  • Help persons with disabilities or developmental delays build or restore vocational, homemaking, and daily living skills and general independence
  • Gain confidence and cooperation from patients, families/support groups, and healthcare providers through competent assessment, monitoring, care, and communication
  • Adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure privacy and safety
  • Provide clinical supervision of assistants and aides
  • Serve as clinical instructor for assigned students
  • Travel as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Graduate of accredited occupational therapy program
  • OT-Occupational Therapist certification/licensure
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification
  • 2 years recent relevant experience
  • Critical thinking, complex problem solving, decisive judgment, and ability to work independently
  • Knowledge and application of professional practice and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to work in a demanding work environment and organize multiple priorities within expected timelines
  • Computer and required technology proficiency/competencies
  • Effective professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Interpersonal skills, conflict resolution, teamwork/collaboration, customer service, and community relations abilities
  • Ability to retain and apply new knowledge and skills
  • Ability to keep abreast of professional practice development and advancement
  • Ability to travel
  • Ability to work Monday–Friday with variable days and Saturdays as needed
