About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assess, plan, organize, and participate in rehabilitative programs to improve patient mobility, relieve pain, increase strength, and correct disabling conditions
- Gain confidence and cooperation from patients, families/support groups, and healthcare providers through competent assessment, monitoring, care, and communication
- Comply with local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure privacy and safety
- Deliver optimal patient care
- Provide clinical supervision of assistants and aides
- Serve as clinical instructor for assigned students
Requirements
What you’ll need- Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program
- Valid PT license / PT-Physical Therapist certification and licensure
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
- 2 years of recent relevant experience
- Critical thinking, complex problem solving, decisive judgment, and ability to work independently
- Knowledge and application of professional practice and regulatory requirements
- Ability to work in a demanding environment and organize multiple priorities within expected timelines
- Computer and required technology proficiency/competencies
- Effective verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Conflict resolution, teamwork/collaboration, customer service, and community relations abilities
- Ability to retain and apply new knowledge and skills
- Keeps abreast of professional practice development and advancement
- Able to work Monday–Friday with variable shifts and rotating weekends
