Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assess, plan, organize, and participate in rehabilitative programs to improve patient mobility, relieve pain, increase strength, and improve or correct disabling conditions
  • Gain confidence and cooperation from patients, families/support groups, and healthcare providers through competent assessment, monitoring, care, and communication
  • Adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure privacy and safety
  • Provide optimal patient care
  • Provide clinical supervision of assistants and aides
  • Serve as clinical instructor for assigned students

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program
  • Valid PT license, or approved license applicant or resident training program employee
  • PT-Physical Therapist licensure/certification
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification
  • 2 years of recent relevant experience
  • Critical thinking, complex problem solving, decisive judgment, and ability to work independently
  • Knowledge and application of professional practice and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to work in a demanding environment and organize multiple priorities within expected timelines
  • Computer and required technology proficiency/competencies
  • Effective verbal and written professional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Conflict resolution, teamwork/collaboration, customer service, and community relations abilities
  • Ability to retain and apply new knowledge and skills
  • Keeps abreast of professional practice development and advancement
