About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform routine and specialized radiology procedures
- Produce quality images for physicians and other healthcare providers to support diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, and prevention of injury or disease
- Work independently using sound judgment and developed clinical skills
- Execute safe and precise procedures and deliver accurate results in a timely manner
- Assess and monitor patients and gain cooperation from patients, families/support groups, and healthcare providers
- Adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure privacy and safety
- Perform specific procedures as assigned
- Help orient other staff to the department as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program provided prior to start date
- ARRT-American Register of Radiologic Technologist and evidence of application for CRT/DRT provided prior to start date OR CRT/DRT-Certified Radiologic Technologist from the state where work is being performed provided prior to start date
- ARRT-American Register of Radiologic Technologist provided prior to start date
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider upon hire
- RHF-Radiology Fluoroscopy within 180 days of hire if required at the affiliate
- General knowledge of diagnostic radiology principles, procedures, views, and equipment
- Some experience responding to traumas and various hospital emergencies
- Capable of performing routine radiographic examinations
- Basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
- Written and verbal communication skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences
- Well-developed time management and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized operating procedures and scientific methods to achieve objectives and meet deadlines
- General knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook), RIS, LIS, EHR, EPIC, and PACS
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, including accomplishing multiple tasks in an environment with interruptions
- Ability to identify, evaluate, and resolve standard problems by selecting appropriate solutions from established options
- Ability to ensure the privacy of each patient’s protected health information (PHI)
- Ability to build collaborative relationships with peers and other healthcare providers
