About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform routine and specialized radiology procedures
- Produce quality images for physicians and other healthcare providers
- Execute safe and precise procedures independently using sound judgment and clinical skills
- Perform patient assessment and attentive monitoring
- Communicate effectively with patients, families/support groups, and healthcare providers
- Adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures
- Deliver optimal patient care while ensuring privacy and safety
- Perform specific procedures as assigned
- Help orient other staff to the department when needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program provided prior to start date
- ARRT-American Register of Radiologic Technologist and evidence of application for CRT/DRT provided prior to start date OR CRT/DRT-Certified Radiologic Technologist from the state where work is being performed provided prior to start date
- ARRT-American Register of Radiologic Technologist provided prior to start date
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider upon hire
- RHF-Radiology Fluoroscopy within 180 days of hire if required at the affiliate
- General knowledge of diagnostic radiology principles, procedures, views, and equipment
- Some experience responding to traumas and various hospital emergencies
- Ability to perform routine radiographic examinations
- Basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Well-developed time management and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized operating procedures and scientific methods
- General knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, RIS, LIS, EHR, EPIC, and PACS
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to identify, evaluate, and resolve standard problems using established options
- Ability to ensure patient PHI privacy
- Ability to build collaborative relationships with peers and healthcare providers
