Key responsibilities & impact

Perform general registration duties by interviewing patients or their representatives
Enter accurate patient information into forms and computer systems
Collect appropriate co-payments and obtain signatures
Escort patients to destinations when required
Maintain scheduling for departments and/or specialized procedures
Coordinate services with physicians’ offices and related departments
Verify room and equipment availability when necessary
Build patient, family/support group, and healthcare-provider confidence through competent performance and effective communication
Work onsite at the Fremont, California facility
Work at other radiology sites as operational needs require, including Danville, Dublin, Livermore, Milpitas, and Pleasanton, California

What you’ll need

High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
1 year of recent relevant experience
Knowledge of medical terminology, including diagnostic tests, surgeries, consultations and procedures
Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule-form data and instructions
Written and verbal communication skills
Time management and organizational skills, including prioritization and meeting deadlines
General knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in an interrupted environment
Ability to identify, evaluate and resolve standard problems using established options
Ability to ensure patient PHI privacy
Must be willing and available to work at other radiology sites as operational needs require
