About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide patient care within regulatory requirements
- Perform non-patient-related tasks supporting the department and staff
- Clean and set up patient treatment areas
- Move patients
- Perform clerical duties
- Assist in training and mentoring colleagues
- Perform complicated administrative functions, including patient scheduling and patient check-in/check-out
- Gain confidence and cooperation from patients, families/support groups, and healthcare providers through competent patient assessment, attentive monitoring, and effective communication
- Adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure privacy and safety
- Travel between Davis and Woodland locations as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent education/experience
- Equivalent experience accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification
- 2 years' experience in a similar environment
- Ability to work in a demanding work environment and organize multiple priorities
- Computer and required technology proficiency/competencies
- Professional verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Conflict resolution, teamwork/collaboration, customer service, and community relations skills
- Ability to retain and apply new knowledge and skills
- Ability to complete applicable work assignments independently
- Ability to teach/educate others
- Ability to develop training and competency assessment materials
