Key responsibilities & impact

Strengthen financial reporting, systems, and processes to support business growth and operational excellence
Enhance financial reports and dashboards using ERP systems and automation to improve accuracy and efficiency
Collaborate across departments to deliver reliable financial insights and support decision-making
Ensure accounting and tax compliance
Develop and maintain accurate financial statements, reports, and dashboards for monthly analysis and management decision-making
Ensure accuracy and completeness of consolidated financial results, including budget variance analysis and monthly and quarterly accounting activities
Enhance financial systems, reporting tools, and processes using D365 BC, Power BI, Power Automate, and other automation technologies
Support project accounting, product costing, revenue recognition, tax compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree or post-secondary diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
Minimum of 8 years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably across private companies, publicly traded organizations, or professional services firms
Professional accounting designation (CPA preferred) or an MBA
Strong knowledge of financial reporting requirements under IFRS, corporate income taxes, and accounting principles
Extensive experience with ERP systems, financial reporting tools, system enhancements, upgrades, and integrations
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is a strong asset
Experience in a scale-up, research and development (R&D), manufacturing, or green technology company is a bonus
Familiarity with financial automation tools, Power BI, Power Automate, and multi-entity, multi-currency financial reporting is a bonus
Experience with project accounting, product costing, corporate tax returns, SR&ED claims, or equity compensation reporting systems such as Carta is a bonus
