About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare Premium Control Reports
- Send reminders to account managers, brokers, or agencies
- Prepare documents for client audits and check underwriting documents
- Identify received premium-allocation documents and clarify policy links
- Initiate corrections when needed
- Release draft bookings in the system and to the ledger
- Screen financial ledgers and clarify payment splits
- Allocate payments to the correct receivables and pair payments
- Inform Legal & Compliance about large payments and policy discrepancies for AML purposes
- Identify amounts released and still due
- Inform stakeholders about unsettled premiums
- Send payments to partners
- Analyze and clarify expected-versus-paid differences
- Allocate receipts in premiums and prepare receivables journals
- Prepare and check commission lists for brokers or agents
- Check premium status before claim payment
- Allocate commissions in premiums and prepare commission journals
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 2 years relevant working experience
- University degree; Accounting, Economics, or Finance preferred
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
- Experience in credit control roles within financial services or insurance sectors
- Proven credit control experience, including monitoring outstanding balances, managing collections, and maintaining accurate client account records
- Strong proficiency in capturing, validating, and reconciling financial data using ERP or accounting systems such as SAP or Oracle
- Experience in the insurance or reinsurance industry, with familiarity with reserving and closing procedures
- Knowledge of Chinese regulatory reporting requirements and experience in a regulated financial environment
- Communication and stakeholder management skills for cross-functional and multicultural collaboration
- Proficiency in both Mandarin and English
- Experience working in a multinational organization and understanding of international financial operations and reporting standards
