About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Architect and design integration blueprints for PromiseXP client deployments
Provide technical leadership across APIs, integration technologies, event-driven architectures, data models, and solution design
Contribute directly to Java development and complex integration delivery when required
Deliver presentations, demonstrations, and technical discussions for prospective clients
Liaise with clients' IT staff, system integrators, and business partners to identify optimal integration options
Define business and non-functional requirements and raise change requests to Product Management
Support clients through installation, integration, testing, and production go-live
Advise clients on system integration testing best practices
Coordinate client software releases with PromiseXP colleagues and global development teams
Specify and review requirements for core system changes and validate new releases
Handle regional service issues and change requests
Deliver API training to clients
Travel periodically to client offices across North America and occasionally internationally

Requirements

What you’ll need

Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise integrations using REST APIs, messaging, and event-driven architectures
Strong hands-on experience with Java and RESTful web services
Experience with Azure Event Grid, Azure Service Bus, Azure Event Hubs, Kafka, or equivalent technologies
Strong understanding of REST, JSON, XML, and OpenAPI specifications
Expertise in SSO, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), SAML 2.0, JWT, RBAC, and service-to-service authentication
Experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Okta, Ping Identity, or equivalent IAM platforms
Ability to design secure, scalable, and maintainable cloud-native and enterprise integration solutions
Database proficiency, including data modelling, SQL query development, troubleshooting, and reporting
Experience with source control, change management, and modern software delivery practices
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced, client-focused environment
Background as an Integration Architect, Solution Architect, Systems Analyst, or Senior Developer
Experience in Life & Health insurance, claims, policy administration, or financial services is highly desirable
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline
