About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the strategic direction of the international property operations function
  • Define and communicate the operational vision and foster a high-performance culture
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve Standard Operating Procedures, workflows, and best practices
  • Establish operational controls, identify and mitigate risks, and maintain audit readiness
  • Define and monitor productivity and quality metrics, identify trends, and lead data-driven interventions
  • Build strategic relationships with underwriting, business, and operational stakeholders
  • Resolve complex issues and deliver seamless end-to-end outcomes
  • Lead, develop, and grow the team through coaching, feedback, and tailored growth plans
  • Influence resource planning, hiring, resourcing, and organizational design recommendations
  • Lead process improvement and systems enhancement initiatives and deliver measurable operational gains
  • Support global coordination and local execution for international insurance coverage

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in commercial insurance operations
  • Deep knowledge of commercial insurance principles, practices, and the broader industry landscape
  • Insurance industry background with substantial direct involvement with Commercial Lines products and coverages
  • University degree or equivalent work experience required
  • Proven management experience leading, developing, and holding accountable a team of professionals
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong analytical capability and financial acuity
  • Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills
  • Senior stakeholder management and influence skills
  • Ability to operate with significant autonomy and sound judgment
  • Critical thinking and strategic problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with international insurance regulations and global coverage differences preferred
  • Experience in a matrix or globally distributed environment preferred
  • Experience leading process improvement or systems enhancement initiatives preferred
