About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Operate and further develop the Swisscom Geo Platform
- Develop and operate geospatial data pipelines for integration and transformation
- Automate data processes and migrations using Python
- Provide mapping and geospatial services for various user groups
- Monitor systems, analyze errors, and drive continuous improvement in collaboration with stakeholders
- Implement improvements and automation using AI
- Integrate new data sources into the cloud architecture
- Develop and maintain robust data products and geospatial services
- Ensure reliable and scalable delivery
- Operate monitoring, security, and deployments across multiple environments
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree from an ETH, university, or university of applied sciences in computer science, geomatics, business informatics, or a comparable qualification or equivalent experience
- Several years of data engineering experience, with a focus on data pipelines and relational data models
- Experience implementing and operating geospatial workflows with ArcGIS and FME
- Strong Python development skills and experience with automation and scripting
- Structured, independent, and reliable working style
- Ability to document solutions and take ownership of topics
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
- Very good German or very good English; additional Swiss national languages are an advantage
