About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support Swisscom's HR automation platform for enterprise workflows
  • Operate and evolve a self-hosted workflow platform on AWS with Temporal
  • Design and ship durable workflows in Python, including human approvals and safe changes in flight
  • Build infrastructure as code and run containerized services with CI/CD ownership
  • Ensure reliable rollouts and rollbacks, vulnerability scanning and patching
  • Ensure security, least-privilege access and observability end to end
  • Maintain clear audit trails and ensure work is not lost in flight
  • Take initiative and keep processes observable end to end

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven experience with Temporal in production, including versioning in-flight workflows, determinism and replay
  • Python as primary programming language
  • Hands-on AWS experience, including infrastructure as code and running services at scale
  • Production experience with AWS ECS, Docker, and AWS Python CDK
  • Solid understanding of identity and authorisation in enterprise contexts
  • Experience with safe token handling under concurrency
  • Experience with OpenTelemetry, including tracing across asynchronous, long-running processes
  • Degree (ETH/Uni/AUS) in Computer Science or an equivalent qualification
  • Fluent English
  • German or Italian is a plus
