About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Automate, scale, and test deployments of Swoop Technologies' products
Deploy products in secure, airgapped, on-premises, remote, bare-metal, and cloud environments
Spin up and shut down AWS resources for code development and testing
Refine Terraform provisioning scripts
Monitor and build profiling metrics
Secure the overall cloud presence
Build automation for monitoring cloud resource health and usage
Work with security engineers to ensure NIST and STIG compliance of cloud applications
Automate cloud resource provisioning using Terraform and Ansible
Streamline how developers deploy, run, and test code in cloud environments
Enable cloud and orchestration scaling mechanisms to balance performance and resource efficiency
Support code and resource updates for client installations
Work with client engineers to monitor and fine-tune their resources

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent technical experience
3+ years in cloud provisioning and management
Understanding of basic software security standards, CI/CD configuration, and buildout, including GitLab YAML files
Experience with containerization, including reading and editing Dockerfiles
Experience with Kubernetes container orchestration
Experience with Terraform provisioning
Experience with AWS cloud deployments
Experience with resource monitoring using Prometheus
Knowledge of Linux, CentOS, and Windows
Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting
Active US Security clearance or ability and willingness to be sponsored for a US Security clearance
AWS Certifications preferred as a bonus
Experience working in AWS GovCloud preferred as a bonus
Competence in networking and virtualization, including firewalls, IP tables, virtual environments, containerization, VMware, and application ingress
Test/QA automation experience
Experience with code quality and security scanning tools such as SonarQube
