About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead or contribute to Murex MXML technology initiatives and ensure successful delivery of assigned projects
- Lead and manage cross-functional technology teams, where applicable
- Provide technical guidance, knowledge sharing, and mentorship to team members
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and define technology solutions
- Translate functional requirements into technical designs, development tasks, and measurable delivery outcomes
- Apply software architecture principles and design patterns to create maintainable and scalable solutions
- Identify and implement process improvements that increase efficiency, quality, and delivery predictability
- Evaluate new technologies and provide evidence-based recommendations for adoption
- Develop and maintain technology roadmaps aligned with business strategy
- Manage technical dependencies, delivery risks, issues, and project priorities
- Manage vendor relationships and support contract negotiations where required
- Ensure compliance with technology, security, quality, and documentation standards
- Promote efficient infrastructure use, reduce unnecessary processing and rework, and consider maintainability throughout the solution lifecycle
- Deliver project outcomes within defined scope, timelines, quality standards, and resource constraints
- Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify priorities and translate needs into Murex MXML and related technology solutions
- Participate in delivery meetings and coordinate dependencies, risks, and actions
- Deliver and review project outputs, manage vendor interactions, escalate risks, and remain accountable for quality, timelines, and outcomes
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of relevant experience working with Murex MXML in development, configuration, implementation, integration, testing, or support
- In-depth understanding of relevant technologies and software systems
- Knowledge of software architecture and design patterns
- Knowledge of database management systems and data structures
- Knowledge of Agile development methodologies
- Familiarity with project management tools and delivery methodologies
- Understanding of cloud computing platforms and infrastructure
- Ability to interpret business requirements and translate them into technology solutions
- Experience with software development lifecycle processes and project deliverables
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent relevant education and professional experience may be considered
- Completion of role-relevant training in Murex MXML, software development, cloud infrastructure, security, data management, and Agile delivery is expected as applicable
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong leadership skills and experience leading cross-functional teams
- Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Relevant certifications in Agile delivery, project management, cloud computing, software architecture, or technology leadership are preferred but not mandatory
- Experience in financial services, capital markets, or another regulated technology environment is preferred where relevant to the assignment
