About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, build, and migrate application workloads into AWS
- Utilize core AWS services including EC2, Lambda, S3, EBS, VPC, Route53, RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, and Neptune
- Implement management, security, and cost optimization strategies using IAM, CloudWatch, and Security Groups
- Apply the AWS Well-Architected Framework
- Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, and AWS CDK
- Leverage container services including ECS, Fargate, and EKS
- Leverage machine learning and AI services including Amazon Textract, Amazon Bedrock, Sagemaker, and Amazon Q
- Implement DevOps and CI/CD practices using Docker/Kubernetes, Git/GitHub, TeamCity, and GitHub Actions
- Manage infrastructure and platform activities across OR&C, including upgrades, environment provisioning, stability, performance, security, and lifecycle management
- Enable and operationalise AI foundations, including MCP and APIs, with security, audit, and repeatable guardrails
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 8+ years of experience with expert level knowledge
- Practical industry experience in AWS cloud solutions
- Proficiency in core AWS services and concepts
- Solid knowledge in specialized AWS services
- Experience with Amazon Textract, Amazon Bedrock, Sagemaker, and Amazon Q
- Experience enabling AI capabilities on a cloud platform
- Strong programming skills in Python or another modern programming language
- Experience with DevOps and CI/CD services and tools
- Must have at least one current Associate Level+ certification in AWS
- Experience with AWS infrastructure, management, security, and cost optimization
- Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, and AWS CDK
- Experience with Docker/Kubernetes, Git/GitHub, TeamCity, and GitHub Actions
