About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own and manage the contracts and change order process
  • Work proactively with Project Leads and Business Development to develop and execute contract documents
  • Drive customer satisfaction, revenue targets, and departmental goals through workload management and prioritization
  • Identify project and contract-related risks and provide timely resolution
  • Coordinate and finalize contractual instruments and budgets aligned with defined scopes of work
  • Negotiate and prepare contracts, budgets, and related documents for complex clinical trials
  • Analyze and validate contract and budgetary changes
  • Provide commentary to Project Managers and customers regarding budget values
  • Communicate budgetary issues, escalate deviations, and remain engaged until resolution
  • Develop customer relationships and work independently with Project Managers and customers
  • Attend meetings or calls as needed to ensure timely contract execution
  • Update and maintain records in CRM and Contract Management systems according to GCDM processes
  • Meet departmental metrics and document completion timelines
  • Review contracts for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to department guidelines
  • Maintain flexibility, adjust priorities, and identify issues before they become critical
  • Perform other assigned duties; minimal travel may be required, up to 25%

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BA/BS degree in Business Administration or Finance, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience, preferably in budgeting, finance, proposal development and/or contracts management within a clinical research/pharmaceutical environment
  • Customer-centric, self-motivated, and proactive
  • Flexibility in responding to job demands
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and above-average attention to detail
  • Ability to perform several tasks simultaneously and meet critical deadlines
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Understanding of costing models
  • Ability to prepare and interpret budgets
  • Ability to work successfully in a team environment and maintain effective working relationships
  • Effective time management skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
