About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the Business Unit Controller
  • Record monthly revenue for unit, fee-for-service, and fixed-price contracts, or ensure revenue is submitted by the Project Manager
  • Load revenue into the Oracle Fusion accounting system
  • Provide commentary on material forecast variances
  • Obtain and load project forecasts
  • Ensure invoices are raised according to client specifications
  • Perform monthly project reconciliation of invoices versus billing
  • Ensure project closeouts are performed timely
  • Save project trackers centrally for SOX purposes
  • Escalate project issues quickly
  • Review accounts receivable aging
  • Assist project teams with project setup, revenue calculation, billing, and predefined reports
  • Attend meetings with Project Managers as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BS/BA degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent education and experience
  • Pharmaceutical or CRO experience preferred
  • Strong English proficiency
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Proficiency with accounting software packages
  • Experience with Oracle Finance preferred
  • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, organizational, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
  • Excellent financial, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • High level of personal motivation to achieve
  • Demonstrated ability to work with confidential and sensitive data
  • Ability to perform several tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines
  • Ability to provide leadership to less senior staff and deal with changing priorities
  • Strong organization skills
  • Ability to work and challenge project managers when needed
