About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java 21 and Spring Boot
Build and optimize distributed data processing and caching solutions using GridGain 8.9.x
Deploy, operate, and maintain services on AWS using Docker
Manage builds and dependencies using Maven
Work in Linux environments and automate tasks using Bash scripting
Ensure performance, scalability, and reliability of backend systems under high load
Participate in technical design, architecture discussions, and feature planning
Troubleshoot production issues and support root-cause investigations
Perform code reviews and contribute to high code quality standards
Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and product teams to deliver end-to-end features
Maintain technical documentation and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need

Hands-on experience with Java (ideally Java 17/21) and Spring Boot
Experience with GridGain, Apache Ignite, or other in-memory data grid / distributed caching technologies
Experience with Maven and modern build and dependency management practices
Experience working with AWS services in production environments
Experience with Docker and containerized applications
Comfortable working in Linux environments and writing Bash scripts
Good understanding of microservices, RESTful APIs, and distributed system design
Experience supporting high-availability, high-performance production environments
Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
Good communication and collaboration skills
Commitment to code quality and continuous improvement
Experience in the gaming or iGaming industry is a plus
Familiarity with TypeScript, Angular, React, or Next.js is a plus
