About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide distinctive service to clients and prospects in person and by telephone
- Respond to client inquiries and resolve client issues
- Support the firm-wide three-ring phone-answering standard
- File Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs) and Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) using firm software
- Monitor day-to-day BSA/AML compliance, including OFAC and 314a requirements
- Investigate potential suspicious activity from software alerts and team-member referrals
- Review high-risk clients and perform enhanced due diligence
- Engage Financial Advisors and Office Team Members for additional information
- Identify, report, and mitigate potential BSA risk issues
- Provide feedback, guidance, and support to the BSA Team and other team members
- Maintain knowledge of regulatory changes and trends
- Participate in BSA/AML training webinars, seminars, conferences, and meetings
- Meet clients' business and personal financial needs and refer them to specialty areas
- Assist other team members and perform related duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or Equivalent required
- College degree preferred
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in financial services
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience preferably in a BSA/AML compliance-related role
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) or related software
- Knowledge of federal banking regulations and compliance related to deposit and loan transaction processing
- Knowledge of USA PATRIOT Act, Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), and KYC/CIP programs
- CAMS Certification preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven analytical ability and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and prioritize daily tasks to meet strict response and reporting deadlines
- Excellent client service skills; tact and diplomacy
- Ability to perform the stated physical activities and sustain prolonged periods of concentration
