About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide distinctive service to clients and prospects in person and over the telephone
- Respond to client inquiries and resolve client issues
- Support the three-ring standard for answering phones
- Greet and acknowledge clients entering the office
- Assist with deposits, withdrawals, payments, balances, and office capture duties
- Follow check-cashing, Reg. CC, and new-account-opening guidelines
- Ensure compliance with firm policies, procedures, federal regulations, and state laws
- Open new accounts and process paperwork, verify client credentials, and obtain supporting documentation
- Provide general account support, including maintenance, instant-issue debit cards, safe deposit boxes, research, affidavits, notary service, wire transfers, check orders, foreign currency, interest-rate inquiries, and ATM inquiries
- Prioritize and make on-the-spot decisions while balancing client satisfaction with firm exposure to loss or fraud
- Monitor and manage required reports
- Provide operational support to the Office Leader
- Address clients’ business and personal financial needs and refer them to Trust, Investments, Insurance, Treasury Management, and other specialty areas
- Assist team members to ensure distinctive service
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in financial services
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) or related software
- Knowledge of federal banking regulations and compliance
- Broad knowledge of bank products and services
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Effective analytical and mathematical reasoning skills with problem-solving ability
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize daily tasks, with effective time-management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure with a high degree of accuracy
- Excellent client service skills
- Tact and diplomacy in dealing with both clients and team members
- Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to use manual dexterity, verbal communication, visual acuity, repetitive motion, and hearing
- Ability to bend, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push, pull, lift, and grasp
- May require successful registration and issuance of a unique identification number from the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) under the SAFE Act; registration must be completed within an established timeframe after initial employment and includes a nationwide fingerprint check
