About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Move mortgage applications from initial application and setup through loan closing
  • Provide distinctive service to clients and prospects in person and by telephone
  • Respond to client inquiries and resolve client issues
  • Receive, review, reconcile, upload, index, and validate loan documentation
  • Confirm required forms, fees, and documentation are complete and accurate
  • Collect and analyze client income, assets, investments, and debts against regulatory, product, and underwriting requirements
  • Verify supporting income, asset, liability, and Social Security documentation
  • Communicate discrepancies, missing data, and outstanding documentation to Mortgage Advisors and Mortgage Client Coordinators
  • Coordinate with third-party partners to obtain appraisals, credit supplements, title commitments, verifications, insurance, payoff statements, and related information
  • Obtain and review tax transcripts, insurance documentation, condo questionnaires, employment verifications, fraud alerts, and appraisals as applicable
  • Order documents required by AUS findings, investors, and agencies
  • Prioritize and monitor workflow to meet Pinnacle's SLAs
  • Prepare, resubmit, and clear PTA, approval, and PTC underwriting conditions
  • Prepare and deliver Change of Circumstance, Loan Estimate, NOI, Adverse Action, and other client notifications
  • Close incomplete loan files when required documentation is not received
  • Refer clients to Trust, Investments, Insurance, Treasury Management, and other specialty areas
  • Assist team members and perform other assigned duties

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required; college degree preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in financial services and/or mortgage lending
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) or related software
  • Broad knowledge of bank products and services
  • Knowledge of federal and state banking regulations and mortgage lending compliance requirements
  • Knowledge of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, USDA, VA, and Jumbo loan underwriting guidelines
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills and attention to detail
  • Understanding of critical mortgage lending documentation, processes, and procedures
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure with a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to multitask competing priorities and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent client service skills
  • Tact and diplomacy in dealing with clients and team members
