About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Install, test, analyze, maintain, and repair Syntegon Pharmaceutical Solid Systems at customer sites
Provide technical customer service and ensure complete customer satisfaction
Provide turnkey support for start-up, IQ, OQ, and PQ validation testing on new machine installations
Update and modify machine control software at customer sites
Train customers on equipment use and maintenance
Coordinate development activities and upgrades to update and improve machine functionality
Support customers, Customer Service, and Sales departments as required
Participate in ongoing internal training to maintain technical expertise on new equipment and existing system applications
Travel frequently to customer sites in a regionally based role

Requirements

What you’ll need

2-year Packaging Machinery degree and 2 years of experience working on Packaging Equipment OR 5 years overall experience in repair and maintenance of capital equipment
2-years’ experience working directly with Customers
Ability to travel 80% of the time domestically and internationally
BS in Electrical Engineering preferred
Experience in the packaging industry preferred
Proficiency in operating controls
Prior work experience in repair/maintenance of control systems, such as servo drives, HMIs, and programmable controllers
Demonstrated advanced mechanical, electrical, and software skills
Experience with equipment systems including Allen Bradley, Siemens, PLC, and PMAC
Ability to support various software control platforms for complete packaging lines
Experience with cGMP and GAMP requirements in the Pharmaceutical Industry
Strong customer service focus with ability to assure customer confidence in equipment operation
German-speaking skills a plus
Ability to work in a cleanroom environment, fully gowned
Ability to work in tight quarters while standing, stooping, kneeling, and bending continuously approximately 66% of the time
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly
