About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and enhance REST APIs and backend services using Node.js and NestJS
- Design and implement scalable, resilient, and highly available solutions
- Participate in technical discussions and software architecture decisions
- Develop and maintain solutions using AWS Lambda and Amazon API Gateway
- Work with Oracle Database and DynamoDB, including data modeling, queries, and optimization
- Develop integrations between internal and external systems through APIs
- Analyze, diagnose, and resolve issues in production environments
- Ensure delivery quality through automated testing and development best practices
- Write clean, reusable, secure, and maintainable code
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the evolution of the team’s development standards
- Work with Git and code version control processes
- Contribute to CI/CD, observability, monitoring, logging, and metrics practices
- Identify technical risks and propose improvements in performance, security, and reliability
- Support and guide less experienced developers through mentoring and knowledge sharing
- Participate in technical refinement sessions, estimation, and delivery planning
Requirements
What you’ll need- Solid experience as a Senior Backend Developer
- Advanced proficiency in Node.js
- Advanced experience with NestJS
- Experience building and maintaining REST APIs
- Strong knowledge of software architecture and development best practices
- Experience with AWS Lambda and Amazon API Gateway
- Hands-on experience with DynamoDB
- Experience with Oracle Database and SQL
- Proficiency in Git and code version control strategies
- Knowledge of SOLID principles, Clean Code, and Design Patterns
- Experience with unit and integration testing
- Knowledge of error handling, logging, and observability
- Ability to independently analyze and resolve problems
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Nice to have: experience with Serverless architecture
- Nice to have: experience with distributed systems and microservices
- Nice to have: knowledge of messaging and asynchronous processing using SQS, SNS, or EventBridge
- Nice to have: experience with Docker and containers
- Nice to have: knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), especially Terraform
- Nice to have: experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Nice to have: knowledge of AWS CloudWatch, X-Ray, or similar observability tools
- Nice to have: knowledge of API security, OAuth 2.0, JWT, IAM, Secrets Management, and OWASP
- Nice to have: experience with Redis and caching strategies
- Nice to have: knowledge of retries, timeouts, circuit breakers, idempotency, and rate limiting
- Nice to have: experience optimizing performance and scalability
- Nice to have: knowledge of Event-Driven Architecture (EDA)
- Nice to have: experience in highly available, high-volume transaction environments
