About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as a Senior Data Analyst specializing in Jurimetrics, integrated into the Legal department’s Technology function
Apply quantitative methods, advanced statistics, and Data Science techniques to the analysis of banking litigation and contracts
Transform large volumes of legal, procedural, and contractual data into strategic insights
Identify patterns, trends, risks, and opportunities to support decision-making, legal management, and the bank’s operational efficiency
Develop statistical analyses and quantitative models applied to Jurimetrics
Collect, organize, clean, and analyze large volumes of legal and procedural data
Develop predictive models to estimate litigation outcomes, probabilities of success, damages, and financial exposure
Identify patterns by courts, regions, divisions, law firms, attorneys, legal topics, and types of claims
Build KPIs, dashboards, and management reports
Apply Machine Learning, statistical modeling, and exploratory data analysis
Collaborate with Legal, Technology, and business teams, translating legal needs into analytical solutions
Develop efficiency and performance analyses for the litigation portfolio
Ensure data quality, integrity, consistency, and governance
Present results and strategic recommendations to managers and stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need

Solid experience in Data Analysis, Data Science, or related fields
Specialized knowledge of Jurimetrics and legal data analysis
Strong command of applied statistics, inferential statistics, regression analysis, and predictive modeling
Experience with Python and/or R for statistical analysis and data manipulation
Advanced knowledge of SQL and large-scale database manipulation
Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
Knowledge of Machine Learning and predictive analytics techniques
Experience analyzing procedural data, judicial litigation, and/or contractual information
Knowledge of data modeling, ETL, and the integration of multiple information sources
Experience in the banking or financial services industry
Experience working in the legal departments of financial institutions
Knowledge of Legal Analytics, LegalTech, and legal intelligence
Experience analyzing legal contingencies and litigation provisions
Knowledge of judicial databases, courts, and case management systems
Familiarity with Brazil’s General Data Protection Law (LGPD), data governance, and data security
