About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Define and implement data governance policies, standards, and processes.
Manage data quality, including monitoring, remediation, and prevention of inconsistencies.
Ensure compliance with Brazil’s General Data Protection Law (LGPD) and other applicable regulations.
Work closely with business and IT teams to define data ownership, data stewardship, and related roles.
Participate in data integration and migration projects, ensuring adherence to governance practices.
Prepare data quality and governance reports and metrics for stakeholders.
Contribute to the development of a data-driven culture across the organization.
Support Master Data Management (MDM) and Data Catalog initiatives.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in data governance, data quality, or enterprise data management.
Experience working in complex environments and digital transformation projects.
Experience with Data Lakes, Big Data, and Cloud platforms (GCP/AWS).
Knowledge of governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK).
Knowledge of data modeling and metadata management.
Knowledge of Brazil’s General Data Protection Law (LGPD) and regulatory compliance.
Certifications such as CDMP or DAMA are a plus.
Experience with data governance and data quality tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Talend, SAP MDG).
