About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop, enhance, and maintain applications and APIs in cloud and on-premises environments
Develop integrations with APIs and artificial intelligence services
Create applications using LLMs, agents, and generative AI models
Implement solutions using RAG, MCP, vector databases, embeddings, vector search, and tool/function calling
Develop AI-based automations and workflows
Integrate AI applications with enterprise systems, APIs, databases, and services
Use AI tools to increase productivity in development, documentation, and code reviews
Participate in technical decisions and contribute to the evolution of solution architecture
Write clean, testable, secure, and maintainable code
Create and maintain unit tests
Monitor applications and identify and resolve issues
Collaborate with Product Managers, Product Owners, architects, QA, DevOps, and other teams
Contribute to best practices in security, observability, performance, and cost control for AI solutions
Stay current with emerging technologies and evaluate their applicability to the company’s products and challenges
Lead POCs and transform AI experiments into production-ready solutions

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience working in agile teams using Scrum and/or Kanban frameworks/workflows
Professional experience in software development
Experience with distributed systems and/or microservices
Strong proficiency in Java 11+
Knowledge of object-oriented programming and software development principles
Experience developing REST APIs
Knowledge of Git and version control workflows
Knowledge of relational, non-relational, and vector databases
Knowledge of LLMs and generative AI
Experience with or knowledge of integrating APIs and LLM models
Experience with at least one of the following AI platforms: OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Google Gemini, OpenCode AI, or Anthropic (Claude Code)
Knowledge of Prompt Engineering, tokens and context, AI Agents, RAG, Vector Databases, Embeddings, Vector Search, Function/Tool Calling, and Structured Output
Experience using AI tools to support software development
Knowledge of at least one cloud platform: IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure, or GCP
Basic knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
Experience with microservices architecture
Familiarity with CI/CD
Basic knowledge of observability, metrics, logs, and monitoring
Knowledge of Spring Core and Spring Boot, including transactions and component creation
Knowledge of JUnit and Maven
Knowledge of Git/GitHub
Knowledge of VS Code, IntelliJ, or Eclipse
Knowledge of Postman and/or Bruno
Knowledge of Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, and Redis
Experience with GitHub Copilot- and Cursor-assisted development
Knowledge of the OpenAI API/GPT, Mistral, LlamaIndex, Google Gemini/Gemma, and Semantic Kernel
Knowledge of PostgreSQL/pgvector
Knowledge of MongoDB or another NoSQL database
Knowledge of GitHub or GitLab
Knowledge of Python, TypeScript, and Node.js
Knowledge of AI Agent frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, n8n, or Gemini Spark
