About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop, configure, and maintain decision engines and business rules on the FICO Blaze Advisor platform
Implement and enhance prior authorization rules, ensuring alignment with business requirements
Ensure the availability, performance, and scalability of implemented solutions
Analyze, test, and validate business rules and decision flows
Identify and mitigate operational risks related to decision engines
Support the implementation of continuous improvements to authorization and decision-making processes
Work closely with business units and technical teams to gather and detail requirements
Monitor rule performance in production and support incident resolution and necessary adjustments
Document functionalities, configurations, and changes made to the platform
Contribute to the governance, quality, and evolution of decision engines and business rules

Requirements

What you’ll need

Proficiency in development, configuration, and support using FICO Blaze Advisor (Rule Studio and Rule Maintenance Application – RMA)
Experience with business rule modeling and architecture, including decision tables, decision trees, scorecards, and ruleflows
Solid knowledge of Java for integration with decision engines
Experience with integrations using REST and SOAP APIs
Knowledge of communication and data exchange formats such as JSON and XML
Knowledge of SQL for querying, integrating, and optimizing relational databases
Experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, and/or SQL Server databases
Ability to analyze, develop, and maintain complex business rules
Experience supporting, monitoring, and enhancing decision engines in production environments
Preferred: previous experience with prior authorization environments, payment methods, or high-volume financial systems
Preferred: knowledge of microservices architecture, messaging systems (Kafka/RabbitMQ), and CI/CD pipelines
