About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide and assist J8 with clearing invalid balances and transactions from Enterprise Business Systems (EBS) to convert a supportable trial balance
Analyze current EBS data to identify invalid transactions and anomalies
Assess data quality against DoD’s standards and requirements
Assist with developing and implementing data cleansing processes to correct anomalies, resolve invalid transactions, and standardize data
Validate data for accuracy and integrity through various techniques
Provide support to the team as needed
Complete other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
1–3 years of relevant experience, specifically in the federal sector
Proficiency in MS Office tools and ability to learn other tools as needed
Active SECRET clearance
Experience with or knowledge of purchase orders, sales orders, fund reservations, purchase requisitions, and standalone FI AP/AR/disbursement/collection documents
Experience with or knowledge of order to cash and procure to pay
Ability to understand relationships of key SAP purchases, sales, inventory, and financial tables
Experience supporting and collaborating with DoD stakeholders, senior leadership, and DoD/Army Financial Management personnel
