About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Combine 2D cadastral data, LiDAR point clouds, oblique aerial imagery, nadir satellite imagery, and other sources in a unified model
  • Integrate image data and modern 3D reconstruction methods such as Multi-View Stereo and Gaussian Splatting into the product
  • Improve building models
  • Texture models using oblique aerial imagery
  • Detect windows, doors, and façade elements and consistently project them onto the correct building surfaces
  • Implement Multi-Image Super-Resolution and Occlusion-Aware Reconstruction
  • Scale methods from individual buildings to millions of buildings in collaboration with Data Engineers
  • Use modern AI coding tools such as Claude Code and Copilot
  • Proactively identify new AI use cases for computer vision and 3D reconstruction

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master’s degree in a technical discipline, such as Computer Science, Geographic Information Systems, Geoinformatics, Physics, or Mathematics
  • At least four years of professional or research experience in (urban) 3D reconstruction, computer vision, and photogrammetry
  • Experience developing functional products or prototypes
  • Strong knowledge of photogrammetry and remote sensing, including sensor and camera models, calibration, and interior and exterior orientation
  • Practical experience combining airborne LiDAR and aerial imagery to create metrically accurate, georeferenced data
  • Strong background in geometric and 3D computer vision, including Structure-from-Motion, Dense Multi-View Stereo, and point cloud processing
  • Practical experience generating building models from point clouds and imagery
  • Proficiency in Python and relevant libraries such as NumPy, SciPy, PDAL, GDAL, and OGR
  • Experience with version control, particularly Git
  • Fluent English, at least C1 level
  • Interest in the PropTech sector
  • Experience in PropTech, architecture, or real estate is a plus
  • Willingness to learn and interest in cloud technologies and AI
  • Experience with cloud technologies, ideally Google Cloud Platform, is a plus
  • German language skills are a plus
