About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain advanced Microsoft Power Apps solutions
- Translate business requirements into working applications
- Support applications for products, projects, documentation, portfolio activities, and operational workflows
- Manage and prioritize Power Apps development backlogs and deliver iterative enhancements
- Integrate Power Apps with Microsoft 365, Power Automate, Power BI, Azure DevOps, and approved data sources
- Troubleshoot application performance, usability, data, and integration issues
- Design scalable, maintainable, and user-friendly solutions
- Apply application security, permissions, data access, and lifecycle management practices
- Develop Power Automate workflows and automate repetitive program tasks
- Troubleshoot and improve workflow automations
- Design and maintain Power BI dashboards using multiple data sources
- Perform data transformation, modeling, and validation
- Create visualizations for leadership and delivery teams
- Use Azure DevOps as a data source and integration point
- Develop solutions supporting portfolio management, delivery tracking, backlog management, and performance measurement
- Support Power Platform needs across EIDS and DHMSM
- Collaborate with stakeholders across teams to prioritize and deliver requirements
- Manage competing priorities and maintain visibility into work, dependencies, risks, and timelines
- Align applications and reporting with SAFe portfolio and execution concepts
- Support leadership visibility into priorities, capacity, schedules, dependencies, and delivery
- Gather and refine requirements with program teams, analysts, product owners, and leadership
- Demonstrate solutions, incorporate feedback, and refine applications
- Provide documentation and guidance for adoption and maintenance
- Help teams transition to new applications, reporting, and automated workflows
Requirements
What you’ll need- 6–8 years of hands-on experience delivering Microsoft Power Platform solutions in complex enterprise environments
- U.S. citizenship
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC) and required access to DHA systems and environments
- Strong experience designing and developing Microsoft Power Apps, including complex applications used by business or program teams
- Experience integrating Power Apps with Power Automate, Microsoft 365, Power BI, Azure DevOps, and other data sources
- Ability to troubleshoot and improve Power Apps performance, usability, and maintainability
- Experience building Power BI dashboards using multiple data sources
- Experience integrating Microsoft Azure DevOps with Power Platform solutions for reporting, workflow, or metrics
- Working knowledge of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), particularly portfolio and execution concepts
- Ability to manage multiple development priorities and work across different teams or programs
- Ability to translate business needs into clear and effective technical solutions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Clear written and verbal communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered
- Microsoft Power Platform Developer Associate certification is desired
- Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate certification is desired
- Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) certification is desired
