About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead delivery across all phases of the software development lifecycle, from design through deployment and support
- Build high-quality, scalable software using Agile development, continuous integration, code review, pairing, unit testing, and refactoring
- Drive engineering best practices, lead code reviews, and help manage technical debt across the team’s applications
- Solve complex or ambiguous business and technical problems with sound judgment and balanced tactical and strategic thinking
- Lead small project teams when needed and mentor junior engineers through coaching, feedback, and hands-on support
- Partner closely with business stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into effective technology solutions
- Use AI-powered development tools responsibly to improve productivity, code quality, documentation, troubleshooting, and delivery outcomes
- Support Cash Management Technology capabilities including currency exposure hedging, foreign exchange trading, cash forecasting and reporting, and cash flow notifications
- Expand integrations with third-party vendors and the investment data warehouse
- Modernize existing in-house applications and deliver lean, service-driven web applications in a cloud-native environment
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, or a related quantitative field, plus 5+ years of progressive software engineering experience (or equivalent education and experience)
- Strong experience with .NET and modern JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, React, or Node.js
- In-depth experience with relational databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL
- Experience designing and developing practical APIs and software abstractions
- Solid understanding of cloud-native architectures and containerized microservices, preferably in AWS or similar environments
- Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and modern software quality practices
- Proficiency with Linux platforms and scripting languages
- Strong understanding of design patterns, multiple programming paradigms, and debugging large-scale application components
- Experience working in fast-paced Agile environments
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools effectively and responsibly as part of software engineering workflows
- 8+ years of full stack development experience preferred
- Experience delivering .NET Core applications preferred
- Experience building containerized applications and deploying to public or private clouds preferred
- Hands-on experience in FinTech technologies preferred
- Preference for using TDD and BDD practices and technologies
- Investment industry experience preferred
- AWS Solutions Architect or Developer certification preferred
- FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role
