About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own the design, development, testing, deployment, and support of high-quality, scalable applications supporting Multi-Asset investment workflows
Translate complex business needs into practical, maintainable technical solutions with product owners, investment professionals, and technology stakeholders
Contribute to technical design decisions, architecture discussions, code reviews, and engineering standards
Apply agile delivery, continuous integration and delivery, automated testing, refactoring, and secure coding principles
Troubleshoot complex technical issues, identify root causes, and implement durable solutions improving reliability and performance
Mentor and support other engineers by sharing knowledge and promoting best practices
Partner with portfolio managers, quantitative researchers, traders, and senior stakeholders
Contribute across the full product lifecycle from architecture and development through deployment, support, and continuous enhancement

Requirements

What you’ll need

BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, or a related field with meaningful mathematical and computing content, or equivalent practical experience
Typically 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript
Experience with Pandas, React, Node.js, and Spring Boot
Experience designing and deploying solutions using modern cloud technologies, including containerization, serverless architectures, and related DevOps practices
Experience with automated testing practices and tools such as TDD, BDD, Cucumber, and Cypress
Experience with SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or Redshift
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Hands-on experience building AI-enabled applications, intelligent workflows, or agentic systems using modern LLMs and AI development frameworks
Experience with web-based development and visualization technologies is preferred
Knowledge of statistics, time-series analysis, asset pricing theory, or optimization algorithms is preferred
Understanding of algorithms, data structures, design patterns, and scalable application design is preferred
Understanding of Multi-Asset investment strategies, financial instruments, derivatives, and capital markets is preferred
Experience partnering with front office business clients is preferred
Experience mentoring engineers and improving team practices is preferred
Practical experience with modern AI engineering patterns and taking AI-enabled systems toward production is preferred
FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported
US work authorization without current or future visa sponsorship requirement
