About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, develop, adapt, and implement short-term and strategic technology solutions
  • Work with new and existing applications, systems, databases, and associated infrastructure
  • Review and interpret system requirements and business processes
  • Code, test, debug, and deploy software solutions
  • Collaborate with Quants, Portfolio Managers, and Analysts to define requirements and testing strategies
  • Participate in technical and design discussions
  • Utilize internal tools to manage AWS-based services
  • Integrate with RESTful and GRPC APIs
  • Contribute to unit and integration testing
  • Maintain and enhance the CI/CD pipeline
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications
  • Manage technical debt in delivered solutions
  • Make tactical and strategic technical decisions
  • Mentor junior team members
  • Assist colleagues and suggest improvements to team practices
  • Collaborate directly with business partners to understand their needs
  • Transform business requirements into technology solutions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • 2+ years of progressive experience working with Python
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services such as ECS, Fargate, Lambda, SNS, SQS, S3, DynamoDB, Application Load Balancers, CloudFront, CloudWatch, IAM, and others
  • Experience with Python frameworks and tools (e.g., NumPy, Pandas)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a results-oriented mindset
  • Familiarity with multiple programming paradigms, including object-oriented and functional
  • Solid grasp of software design patterns
  • Dedication to quality through automated testing, code reviews, and continuous integration/delivery
  • Familiarity with R is highly preferred
  • Strong understanding of financial markets and instruments
  • Demonstrated ability and enthusiasm for learning new technologies
