About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design and implement linear controllers, such as PID controllers, based on models obtained from response curves or phenomenological process equations
  • Address nonlinearities in actuators, including valves and variable-speed drives
  • Address process asymmetries
  • Perform dead-time compensation
  • Calculate stability and generate linearization functions
  • Analyze process data to verify project gains
  • Prepare performance and monitoring reports for control systems

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Control and Automation Engineering, or a related field
  • Bachelor’s degree in another engineering discipline, provided the candidate has a specialization in Automation and Control and/or Industrial Process Optimization
  • At least 2 years of prior experience in Industrial Process Control applications
  • Intermediate English proficiency
  • Knowledge of process control and optimization, including the design, implementation, and commissioning of control systems
  • Knowledge of process data analysis for modeling and gain evaluation
  • Knowledge of KPIs and control loop performance evaluation
  • Intermediate Spanish proficiency is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of PID and APC controllers, as well as familiarity with advanced controllers such as MPC and Fuzzy Control, is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of Artificial Intelligence applications for Industry is a plus
  • Willingness and availability to travel
  • Ability to communicate technically and strategically with stakeholders at different organizational levels
