About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Receive, review, and record invoices for services, materials, assets, and other tax documents related to the company’s operations.
  • Validate issuer and recipient information, CNPJ and branch details, transaction type, amounts, taxes, and other data required for bookkeeping.
  • Verify consistency among tax documents, purchase orders, contracts, and evidence of material receipt or service acceptance.
  • Analyze the application of tax withholdings, including ISS, INSS, IRRF, and federal contributions, according to the nature of the service and the terms of the engagement.
  • Verify the tax classifications and codes applicable to transactions, such as CFOP, CST, NCM, and service codes, where applicable.
  • Enter and post documents in SAP, ensuring accurate general ledger accounts, cost centers, accounting periods, and due dates.
  • Identify inconsistencies and coordinate their resolution with suppliers and internal departments, following up on outstanding documents and required corrections.
  • Support the review of supplier master data and the tax configurations used for document entries.
  • Control the document flow from receipt through release for continuation of the payment process, in accordance with approvals and internal procedures.
  • Participate in the monthly tax close by reconciling received documents, posted records, and outstanding bookkeeping items.
  • Provide information and documentation for tax calculations, ancillary tax obligations, and audit requests.
  • Contribute to improvements in tax desk controls and processes, reducing errors, delays, and rework.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience with tax document receipt, invoice review, and bookkeeping, particularly for services procured.
  • Practical knowledge of tax withholdings and the ability to identify the applicable tax treatment for incoming transactions.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP in tax document entry routines and in querying purchase orders, suppliers, and records.
  • Knowledge of electronic tax documents, including NF-e, NFS-e, and their respective files and supporting documentation.
  • Understanding of the integration between tax receipt, procurement, accounting, and accounts payable.
  • Knowledge of tax closing procedures and the impact of bookkeeping on tax calculations and ancillary tax obligations.
  • Advanced Excel skills for controls, reviews, and cross-referencing information.
  • Experience in service provider companies and organizations with multiple branches.
  • Experience handling service invoices issued in different municipalities.
  • Knowledge of SAP MM and FI modules and the integration between receipt, bookkeeping, and payment.
  • Experience with tools for capturing, validating, and automating tax documents.
