About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide Level 2 functional support for SAP EWM incidents, service requests and problems
- Investigate EWM issues, perform root cause analysis, identify corrective/preventive actions, and escalate product defects to SAP
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into EWM solutions
- Configure, test and support inbound, outbound and internal warehouse processes
- Maintain and configure EWM organizational structures, warehouse process types, storage types, sections, bins, activity areas, work centers, queues, resources and master data/configuration objects
- Configure and support integrations with SAP ERP ECC/S4HANA and SAP MM, SD, PP and QM
- Configure and support RF/mobile warehouse processes, SAP RF Framework, ITS Mobile/SAP console, barcode scanning and RFID-enabled processes
- Support EWM capabilities including Yard Management, Labor Management, Cross-Docking and Post Processing Framework (PPF)
- Analyze and support RFC, ALE/IDoc, web services/APIs and middleware integrations
- Prepare functional specifications for developments, enhancements, forms, reports, interfaces and conversions; work with ABAP
- Participate in workshops, process reviews, requirements gathering and fit-gap analysis
- Deliver and support change requests and project requirements through configuration, specification, testing, deployment and post-go-live support
- Prepare test scenarios and cases, perform integration/regression testing and support UAT
- Assess business, technical, integration, security and operational impacts; support quality gates and approvals
- Monitor EWM processes, interfaces and background activities; identify failures, performance issues and improvement opportunities
- Monitor EWM master-data quality and address data-quality issues with business owners and functional teams
- Provide user guidance and training, including support during critical operational periods and go-lives
- Support audit, compliance and control requirements with system evidence
- Contribute to SAP EWM S/4HANA roadmaps, upgrades, migrations and new technology adoption
- Share knowledge and participate in knowledge management and continuous improvement
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5-10 years of experience in SAP EWM (strictly SAP EWM, not SAP EM)
- Strong hands-on SAP EWM (embedded and/or centralized) functional experience
- Minimum of 3-4 full lifecycle implementations
- Understanding of RFC, ALE/IDoc, web service/APIs and middleware
- Knowledge of barcode, RF, RFID and warehouse automation technologies
- Knowledge of relevant business processes
- ITIL Foundation and SAP Application Lifecycle Management knowledge
- SAP Solution Manager knowledge
- Business and financial awareness of the impact of changes
- Experience in integration points with other SAP modules
- Fluent English in written and verbal communication
- Strong communication, facilitation and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to communicate technical and process issues clearly to business
- Strong analytical, data gathering and diagnostic ability
- Ability to understand complex system landscapes and assess issues from an end-to-end business process perspective
- Ability to work independently and with teamwork
- Attitude and stamina required to deliver in a challenging environment
