Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Ability to handle confidential financial information responsibly
  • Prior tax preparation experience is preferred but not required
  • Must have an active IRS Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN) or be willing to obtain one before preparing tax returns
  • Must successfully complete required tax preparation training before preparing client returns
  • Must follow applicable IRS requirements, due diligence standards, company policies, and tax compliance requirements
  • Must meet established deadlines during tax season
  • Must participate in required training and continuing education
