About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Report to the Operations Training Supervisor
- Achieve and maintain a high level of operator competency across all process streams
- Develop, implement and continuously improve the site’s training system
- Create and update training packages
- Manage competency frameworks
- Ensure assessment processes remain effective, consistent and fit for purpose
- Support workers to follow structured training plans and schedules
- Manage the site training matrix
- Ensure training and assessment records are accurately completed and submitted
- Develop, maintain and improve standardised work procedures, training packages and assessment tools
- Deliver group and one-on-one theoretical and practical training sessions
- Assess worker competency through knowledge-based and practical assessments
- Conduct Verifications of Competency for mobile plant and High-Risk Work Licence activities
- Participate in Training Needs Analysis processes
- Contribute to area-specific inductions
- Observe employees for compliance with safety systems
- Champion continuous improvement in work practices and training quality
Requirements
What you’ll need- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116, TAE40122 or higher)
- Additional qualifications in WHS or Leadership & Management viewed favourably
- Strong experience as a Trainer/Assessor within fixed plant operations
- Ability to engage and support diverse learners
- Experience delivering classroom-based and hands-on practical training
- Knowledge of WHS legislation, including the WHS Act 2020 and WHS (Mines) Regulations 2022
- Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Microsoft Office skills
- Experience developing, mapping and validating quality training materials
- Experience in Job Hazard Analysis and Critical Risk Management processes
- Experience with Isolation and Permit to Work systems
- Current C Class Driver’s Licence
- Nationally recognised competencies for Front End Loader, Skid Steer Loader, Telehandler and Overhead/Gantry Crane
- High Risk Work Licences including Forklift (LF) and Elevated Work Platform (WP)
- Additional licences in Rigging (RB/RI), Dogging (DG) and Non-Slewing Crane (CN) considered desirable
- Preferred to live or be willing to relocate within 60 minutes of the Greenbushes Lithium Operation
