About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Analyze, design, implement, and support application systems
- Formulate, define, and perform complex analysis, design, and implementation of enterprise-wide IS functionality
- Manage Epic application modules and third-party applications
- Design and customize tables and screens
- Build databases
- Test, debug, upgrade, and document information systems functionality
- Apply process-flow analysis and business automation knowledge to evaluate needs
- Design and implement highly complex, supportable, and scalable solutions
- Mentor IT/Application Services Analysts
- Support EpicCare Inpatient ClinDoc, Stork, and ASAP workflows
- Design and support shared inpatient flowsheets, specialized tracking boards, dynamic navigators, and cross-charting logic
- Manage ASAP tracking boards, urgent ED navigators, and rapid arrival workflows transitioning into Stork charts
- Serve as technical liaison for Obix fetal monitoring and bedside medical devices, including SpaceLabs, MindRay, Medtronic, and WelchAllyn
- Independently build, test, and maintain Epic ClinDoc, Stork, and ASAP applications
- Troubleshoot and resolve critical system failures
- Lead complex optimization projects and upgrades through implementation
- Partner with OB/GYN and Emergency clinical leadership to align system build with operational needs
- Provide a secure, effective, integrated patient care delivery system that improves outcomes, reduces cost, increases efficiency, and enhances patient experiences
Requirements
What you’ll need- Current certifications in EpicCare Inpatient ClinDoc, Stork, and ASAP
- Proven experience managing complex cross-application workflows and third-party integrations, such as Obix
- Strong troubleshooting abilities
- Project management skills
- Communication skills necessary to collaborate with clinical leaders
- Understanding of Care Everywhere integration preferred
- Active Care Everywhere certification preferred
- Successful completion of a drug screen, background check, reference verification, health assessment, and credential/license verification is required for employment
