About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Oversee multiple concurrent construction projects, including sports facility construction and civil and post-tension concrete construction, valued at $5M+
Ensure alignment with scope, schedule, and budget expectations
Lead project buyout and subcontractor contract management
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress, risks, and resolutions
Supervise and mentor a team of Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers
Refine and optimize internal project management tools, templates, and procedures
Analyze historical project data and KPIs to identify trends, improve forecasting, and drive continuous improvement
Ensure consistent use of Procore to maintain project documentation and reporting integrity
Travel to and between job sites as needed for development of plans, relationships, and overall project design needs
Work 90% in office and 10% in field in the Midwest area
Report to the Vice President of Project Management

Requirements

What you’ll need

10+ years of construction (civil and post-tension concrete construction) project management experience, with proven leadership on projects exceeding $5 million in value
Experience in Sports facility construction is a plus
Strong team leadership skills with experience managing direct reports
Expertise in planning, coordinating, and executing construction tasks in line with project specifications, timelines, and budgets
Skilled at troubleshooting issues through a team-focused approach
Proficiency with Procore is required
ASBA or PTI certification is preferred
PMP certification is preferred
Excellent communication skills and a client-focused mindset
Ability to work cross-functionally with internal departments and external stakeholders
Strong problem-solving skills and a data-driven approach to continuous improvement
Flexibility to adapt to changing conditions on-site, such as weather delays, material shortages, or changes in project scope
