About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare, review, sign, and deliver Forms 1065, 1120, and 1120-S for expat-owned businesses
- Handle US business entity tax work end to end
- Review returns prepared by others and provide learning opportunities for the team
- Handle Forms 5471, 8865, and 8858, GILTI, subpart F, and foreign trust reporting, with training available if needed
- Speak directly with clients by phone and video to explain positions, discuss entity returns, deliver completed work, and identify additional filing needs
- Mentor and upskill Tax Team members toward independent entity preparation
- Prepare individual expat returns and international filings between entity deadlines
- Document entity standards, review checklists, and common fact patterns
- Work with Learning and Development on technical training and upskilling
Requirements
What you’ll need- Roughly four to eight years in US tax with substantial entity work
- CPA or EA required, active and in good standing
- Must hold a current PTIN and be eligible to sign as paid preparer
- Experience with Forms 1065, 1120, and 1120-S
- Knowledge of partner and shareholder basis
- Knowledge of K-1 and K-2 / K-3 reporting
- Working knowledge of controlled foreign corporation and foreign partnership regimes
- Direct client contact by phone and video
- Comfortable working in a cloud practice stack
- Professional fluency in English, written and spoken
- Ability to work across the US filing calendar
- If running an own practice, cannot be a side engagement; committed capacity required across the filing calendar
